All our pizzas are hand crafted with love in Byron Bay from the finest and freshest local produce direct fresh the farmers market. And what we can’t get from down the road we make sure is still Aussie. In fact across the whole range our pizzas are made with an average of 99% Australian grown produce, which makes us Australia’s most Australian pizza company!
We are proud members of both Northern Rivers Food, and Ausbuy, who both continually make efforts to promote small local businesses ultimately keeping our hard earned dollars right here in Australia.
That’s right, due to the simple fact that we blast freeze our product and that we take care with researching the ingredients that we use, our pizzas are 100% preservative free. We believe this is extremely important. Especially if you or your partner is chemically sensitive, or if you have kids and would like them to remain human, and possiblly go to sleep again before they are old enough to go to uni.
Because we are massive fans of the noble hog we make sure that none of the pork products on our pizzas are factory farmed. We use ethically raised meats as we believe that a happy beast makes for a tastier feast.
A great pizza starts with a great base. And our bases are the best.
Our delicious thin and crispy bases are made with a traditional, slow-rise dough recipe that uses minimal yeast and masses of love - making them as easy on your stomach as they are on your taste buds.
You might be wondering why we put so much love, effort and amazing ingredients into our pizzas only to then freeze them…
Well, we have a couple of very good reasons; First and foremost it enables us to keep our pizzas 100% preservative and additive free, unlike any other take & bake pizza on the market. And seeing that we have this crazy super powered freezer thingy that is able to blast our pizzas in lightning speed, locking in all the goodness and flavor, using this method saves us all from putting all those nasty numbers into our bodies unnecessarily. It also means our take & bake pizzas last for months, which provides added convenience for you, your local outlet, and me.

The love affair (the one with food) began for Kate at a young age in her family’s pizza restaurant, Earth & Sea - Byron Bay where she spent a large chunk of her childhood pipping olives, rolling bases and generally making kick-ass pizzas. After school she traveled the world working in both kitchens and management of a variety of restaurants in a variety of cultures all along paying close attention to the flavours, the methods and of course the people that made them successful. After returning to Australia Kate has maintained her focus on food and hospitality working with Belinda Franks at ‘Belinda Franks Catering’ as well as alongside Stefano Manfredi whilst managing the exclusive Central Coast resort, ‘Pretty Beach House’. After a long and windy road Kate has done the full circle and is once again making the humble pizza - in a way that has never been done before.
Charlie grew up on his family farm ‘Balaclava’ 25ks west of Glen Innes, N.S.W, where they bred and raised purebred Angus, Sheep, Goats and plenty of kangaroos, all of which at one time or another made the table. Being raised on a once totally self-sufficient farm Charlie gained a genuine understanding of what goes into producing great quality food. “Whether it’s in the vege patch or in the paddock there is so much that goes into food production. We handled our livestock with care and respect and even a bit of love, believing that a happy beast made for the best meat. My parents taught me to respect the land as well as the stock as without either of them we’d be stuffed. It was very hard to say goodbye to our farm and I am constantly reminded of the way agriculture and food production has changed and intensified in the last 30 years. There’s a lot to be said for small diverse operations where passion for produce and respect for the land trumps the bottom line. So here we are, trying to support a few of them whilst making and selling our pizzas.”
The range currently consists of 8 flavours (half of which are vegetarian) which means there is something for everyone. From a simple and delicious ‘Margherita’ to the flagship ‘Happy Pig’ all Byron Bay Pizza Co. take & bake pizzas come bottomed with our signature tomato sauce and topped with freshly grated mozzarella.

Fossil Farm Organics is run by The Galvin Family team. They are a 10 acre Certified 'A' Grade Organic Farm running along the beautiful Mullumbimby Creek. They grow seasonal vegetable and fruits and sell them mainly every Thursday morning at the Byron Bay Farmers Market. Summerland Olive Products Australia Pty Ltd was established in November of 2000. Located in sub tropical Northern NSW, an area renown for producing high quality table olives. Olives grown in this region have a high moisture and low oil content, making them ideal for the natural pickling process.
